BOOK ABOUT MICHAEL KLINGER WINS PRIZE

In Manchester last night it was announced that Andrew Spicer and A. T.McKenna's book about famed film producer, Michael Klinger, The Man Who Got Carter is the winner of the 2015, 1st Prize in British Association for Film Television & Screen Studies Best Book Prize.

This follows the extensive research now known as The Klinger Papers undertaken at the University of the West of England in Bristol, together with the team from the University of Portsmouth funded by the AHRC.

As stated by James Chapman, Professor of Film Studies at the University of Leicester, "The Man Who Got Carter" is one of the best historical studies of the film industry ever written. Andrew Spicer and Anthony McKenna bring to light the extraordinary career of a producer whose life and work deserve to be much better known.."
